Contact HyreElectrical
HyreElectrical is an independent information site. We are glad to hear from you about the research, a correction, or how the site could be more useful. Before the details below, one thing needs saying plainly, because getting it wrong costs people time they may not have.

If you have an electrical problem right now, do not email us
We cannot help with a live electrical fault. HyreElectrical does not perform electrical work, does not dispatch electricians and does not operate a 24-hour line. An email to us on a Saturday evening reaches an inbox, not an electrician.
- Smoke, flames or an electrical fire — call the fire service, from outside the building.
- A downed, damaged or arcing power line, or a neighbourhood outage — call your utility. Treat any fallen line as energised and stay well clear.
- Burning smell, heat at a device, scorching, sparking, a buzzing panel or a breaker that will not hold — stop using the circuit and call a licensed electrician now.
Which of the three applies to what you are seeing is set out on emergency electrician, and the severity triage is on electrical repair. Both are more use to you at this moment than we are.
What we are glad to hear about
- Corrections. A figure that is wrong, a source that has moved or died, a code citation that has been renumbered, a link that 404s. These are genuinely welcome — several pages on this site carry correction notes because readers and our own re-checks found problems.
- Gaps. A question the site should answer and does not.
- Questions about the research — how a figure was derived, what a source actually says, why we drew a boundary where we did.
- Press and citation enquiries. If you are writing about residential electrical work and want to use something we have published, tell us what you need and where it will appear.
What we will not be able to help with
- Diagnosing your installation. We cannot tell you what is wrong with your wiring, whether a quote is fair, or whether a specific company is any good. We have not seen your house and we are not licensed to assess it.
- Disputes with a contractor. We have no relationship with any electrical company, no authority over one and no complaints process. The licensing board that issued the credential, and your state consumer protection office, are the right routes.
- Guest posts, sponsored content or link placements. We do not publish contributed content and take no payment for placement. These pitches are not considered.
How to reach us
General enquiries and corrections: hello@hyreelectrical.com. Include the page address if it is about something we have published.
Privacy and data requests: hello@hyreelectrical.com. What we collect and how it is handled is set out in our privacy policy.
Switchboard: (866) 582-8523. This is a business line, not a technical helpline and not an emergency number. We cannot advise on an electrical fault over the phone.
How the site works: what happens when you use it, and what happens to your details, is set out on how HyreElectrical works. Who we are is on the about page.
About a project: if you want help finding local electricians, the enquiry form on the homepage is the right route — it asks the questions that make an introduction useful. Note that matching is still being built, and an enquiry is not a service call.
Registered address
6975 Union Park Avenue, Midvale, UT 84047, United States
This is a registered business address for correspondence. It is not a trade counter, a depot, a walk-in office or a place to bring an electrical problem. HyreElectrical is a national information site rather than a local business, which is why you will not find local-business markup or a service-area map on this site claiming otherwise.
What happens to what you send us
Correspondence reaches our inbox and is read by the research desk. We do not sell it, publish it, or add you to a mailing list you did not ask for. If you send us a correction we may act on it publicly — the fix appears on the page — but we will not name you unless you ask to be credited. Full details are in the privacy policy, how we handle corrections is in the editorial policy, and the terms you use this site under are in the terms of use.
